Since then they have enjoyed increasing popularity. With a series of 5 models, our customers have since had the largest selection on the car audio market and are sure to find the right capacitor for their needs. In order to maintain our technological leadership, in 2020 we looked at new ways of compressing the internal anode and cathode foil. The aim is to reduce the size of the capacitors to a minimum and still increase efficiency. The result is a process that we call HDFT and an absolutely new 0.5F capacitor size that with a diameter of only 51mm even fits through a DIN radio slot for the first time. This means that it is now possible to act behind the dashboard where the music signal, which will be amplified later, is created or where all conceivable new age plug & play processors or power amplifiers get adapted. Yes, exactly where no vehicle manufacturer with sufficient cable cross-sections has ever created the necessary prerequisites for these subsequent investments. But not only new possibilities are opened up, but also the models in the mid of the HCM range should match the spirit of smaller and increasingly compact amplifiers in the cars thanks to new HDFT. If only the capacitor can be seen at the first view at your car audio system than the proportions are no longer correct in the present. Questionable if this is still "up to date"? .... unless it is optically like our HCM6 with 100mm diameter in the format of a nitrous oxide injection for the amplifier. But so our best racehorses HCM1 and HCM2 have to do. With their 76mm diameter they jump into present time and both come down 1/3 in height in 2021. This with a lower tolerance and better values will also be followed by our HCM4 soon which will adopt their previous size. Another literally "smaller" step into a new era of car audio capacitors and their installation. Extensive installation material and operating instructions are also included in the scope of delivery. A transparent plexi cover, which protects all connections against a supposed short circuit, is as usual in scope. The blue 4-digit LCD display provides convenient information about the voltage applied during operation and can optionally be adjusted if necessary. A protective circuit provided in the electronics safeguards and warns you in the event of an erroneous polarity reversal with a clearly audible buzz and a red LED warning display. An integrated automatic switch-on takes the capacitor into operation as soon as the voltage changes by 0.1A and switches it off again when the voltage is idle - within approx. 1 minute.
